A Case for Compassion by Max Fisher

Next up is a beautiful and powerful compassion poem by Max Fisher:

A Case For Compassion

Everyone’s in pain have you checked the news today?

Death neglect hurt a laundry list of woes, we all share the toll

The internets meant to connect, more often where disconnected because of it

Compassion? In this day?

Best throw that word away

it has no place, some may say

But I think it has a strong case

It’s never wrong to show you care for someone.

It’s not weak to relate it’s a strength

We all get knocked down,
what’s wrong with asking if you’re ok and helping you up along the way?

The laundry list of woes grows and grows

But with compassion it makes it all manageable

Because we all share the toll

Compassion can be our greatest tool

So we can help each other through
